That is the reason why today I want to show you how to install or upload a theme in Blogger in five simple steps which are easier to follow without needing any screenshots.

What is Custom Theme

A custom theme is a theme that is built specifically for a single website or set of websites.

It has more features, awesome design, functionalities, and features than the default theme or platform-provided theme.

  3. More secure and stable than the default Blogger themes.

Custom themes can be created by a web developer or designer, or they can be purchased from theme stores like Sora Templates, Gooyabie, and others.

Things to Keep in Mind

The Blogger Template you are about to upload must meet some requirements which I’m very sure maybe you knew some of them.

But still, the are as follows;

  • The template file must be in xml format (.xml extension).
  • The template file must be compatible with the current version of Blogger.
  • You may need to customize it to fit your blog's content and design.

Upload Theme to Blogger

Well, here we are, I don’t want to further waste your time, so, let’s dive right in into the five steps below to upload the theme to the blogger.

  1. Go to your Blogger dashboard.
  2. Click on the "Theme" tab.
  3. Click on the "Backup/Restore" button.
  4. Click on the "Choose file" button and select the template file from your computer.
  5. Click on the "Upload" button.

The template will be uploaded and activated automatically. You can view its live preview on your blog.
